Advice on installing 6.5 speakers in front door of G2

I am about to install a set of 6.5 inch speakers into the front doors of my 1990 Integra LS. Is there anything I should be aware of before starting this job? Is it just cutting plastic to make the speaker fit? Thanks in advance.

put em in and try to see if they fit, usually when they dont is because the magnet it sit too far back, if that happens just make a small mdf spacer that way it sits alittle more foward

but TRY IT and go from there, post if u need help. i may know alittle about getting them to fit

Yeah, what he said. If its just like an average depth speaker it should just go right in. I got some 6 3/4" speakers the other day and they dropped right in.
