About ready to sell!!!

Hello all! I hate to come on here venting so i want real opinions on this situation.
I have a 94 integra. Bought a T3 turbo and set up. I have minor things done before the install. I also had this shop do a complete body work with custom paint-for turbo install and body work-paint- i payed $2150.00. Flash forward to now from the time i drove it away from the shop on December 4-2008. A nickel sized hole in oil pan from the "custom weld made", I was told to put some oil in and drive it home as quick as possible. I had it towed. Waste gate is turbonetics adjustable- I was told by shop it was under 1 pound.Stay under 3-4 rpm s and should be safe to go home. Two holes on top of waste gate-one on right was plugged with a flange and the middle one had an adjustable screw. I was told this made it free acess to how ever much boost it wanted. No dump tube,crack in down pipe, cut my front bumper-i was told it was because the inter-cooler piping would mot fit-that was an extra $100- The correct piping was sitting in the trunk. Paint is cracking and popping off in random places. This car had yet to be taken on the road. It is in a fenced in yard and i wash the outside once every two weeks. I am not a turbo person and yes this was a friend of mine, they have turbo cars them self and own their own shop. Also, yes, i am female, i think this has a lot to do with my install. I trusted him and my husband is military and was away for training. We have also have a
s2000,crx and IS300. We are just not turbo knowledgeable. I take full credit for not knowing but i am so frustrated with this i am at the selling point, if that is even possible.Sorry for anything left out or grammatical errors. I did file a complaint with the BBB against this shop. A little positive criticism or opinions are so very welcome!

hi, first off welcome your deffinately in a bad spot. you need to go by the shop and explain whats going on and ask them what they can do about it. if the paints peeling just sitting there or even using the car, theres deffinatelt a fault on there part. it sounds like they botched the turbo install. tell them you trusted them with your car and was told they could handel the job. any decent shop will try to make it right. i see so many shops come and go, they think it's easy money and forget about the customer. good luck. i think you should go in there armed with someone knowlegable about turbos.

first thing i can think of is to find a performance tuning shop in your area, and have them look over the car. get online do some research and find a quality shop. take the information that shop gives you and run it back to the shop that did the install, better yet possibly have someone from the performance tuning shop to come with you.
shops are always looking for customers in the hope that if they do it right the first time, you will come back with your business. so i could see the performance shop being willing to help. sorry about your luck with the install/paint process. thats a trashy move on the responsible shops part.

Thanks for all advice. I had another "friend" work on it this week-said he had it chipped and tuned and other
piddly little things. Pay him later. He replaced the fuel pump with a new one and said he put resistor boxes on th fuel injectors. I payed him $200- then after he left i had a really bad feeling,,,,so i started looking and the ECU in it.....is not mine. It was chipped but not mine. Piping to intercooler was half pipe and half radiator hose. I took to a shop up the street where i know the owner......chipped ECU yes -tune-no- resistor boxes=no= he also seen him riding around in town with my teg without the front bumper. Brought it back with no oil and gas light was on. Had the audacity to demand money or he will come to my house and F*** my car up and me too......LOL...So i guess i am about ready to call it quits......i can not trust anyone.

Teg is at the shop. Call today said there are bolts missing from the turbo and the down pipe. The exhaust was not even hooked up? The oil leak was from the turbo oil line on the oil pan. He is going to replace the intercooling piping with a one piece actual metal. Heard through the wind that my so called friend was coming to "mess the car up" My husband is in Afgan. so I am thinking of relocating his S2000 and CRX. Teg is locked in a shop but I am kinda done with idol threats. Just wish at the end of the day I can actually enjoy the car but it seems to be a big yard paper weight. UPDATE- I took battery from the S2000 to get swapped out, it was dead for some reason and I was told it was a junk yard battery/used battery-Called the shop where Integra is at- It has a Autocraft battery in it---Mind you...I know my Teg had an optima gold in it and found out my Husbands S2000 had an Optima Redtop. I am going to jail if i run across this dude. Thats is about $300 worth of batteries. Teg is better though, All oil leaks are fixed, dump tube in place,boost gauge working, turbo bolts in, exhaust bolted on but crack found in resignator???? Lower control arm will be put on tomorrow. Is this even worth it????
