A little rust

my 89 integra has some rust on both rear fenders and its not horrible but its noticeable.



i was wondering if theres any way to successfully repair the rust?

depending on how bad it is, there are a few different ways to go about the repair.

you could 1. replace the whole quarter panel. OR 2. cut out the rusted section and replace only the damaged metal.

The latter will require intermediate metal working.

Either way..bondo is a no no!

Bondoglass is a whole different breed. I have used it and was pretty impressed with it.

or 3. sand and treat it. lol i demand pics!

plastic fillers can be alright if they're applied and protected properly. i think the brand name "Bondo" just got it's bad rep. from ricers who think masking the problem is the solution or throw a ton on when "shaving" shit. depending on how deep you have to get into the metal, you might need a little filler to smooth out any minor imperfections.

ohhhhhhh man...lol this title needs to be changed to "a whole lotta rust!" lol

get the whole area replaced. that's the only way to do it at this point.

the picture right above the video is the only one of the rear right side and its not as bad as the rear left.

...yet. lol it's pretty bad already. you should definitely get both sides replaced. there's no easy fix for that much corrosion.

how comfortable are you working with metal?

on second thought, if money isn't that big of an issue to you, you should just take it to a shop. get that area repainted as well.
