98 tail light swap ?

Ok, so I drive a 94 Ls, with the amber tail light corners, I just swapped 98 tails on and now all my brake lights stay on (including the 3rd brake light) and when I hit the break they only brighten a very little. Someone suggested swapping the harnesses (the actual bulbs on the light). One tail light has the 94 harness, and one has the 98.

Has anyone else had this problem? if so, what's up? lol.

something might be up with the wiring, did they work fine before?

bulbs might be half blown, when they light up but dont get brighter when u hit the brakes

i did this swap but back wards, 98 for 94 tailights and everything worked the same

sounds like a bulb is in wrong

I would say start over from the begining and put everything back the way it was. Then disconnect the bulb sockets and only change the actual housing (red tails for the amber setup) Also make sure nothing is crimped or kinked up. All it takes is 1 jacked up connection to cause some odd problems. g/l

Even easier then any of that, lol.

I swapped the 98 harness for the original 94 harness, and everything works perfectly. I can't figure out why the 98 one did what it did, maybe it was the combination of the two, but either way it works fine now. Thanks guys!
