I see alot of LS, And GS-R's, Not Alot Of Ppl Mention GS, Why Is That, Its Non-VTec I Know That, But Something PPL Don Like About It?, Well I Got A '98 Acura Integra GS Coupe, I Had A Choice Between A 99' GSR With 55K And That Was Flooded, And A 98' GS With 27K For Aboule 3 Grand Less, So I Went With The GS. I Was Told If I Swap The GS Head With A GSR Head, It Would Be Faster, Enough To Even Beat Some Complete GSR's Engines. Fact or Fiction?

Let me be the first to say :welcome: Why are there so few GS's?? I don't know?? But be proud just the fact you got a TEGGY. And yes its true you should be faster. Reason being is because the B18B is more tourque than the B18C. Then with the GSR head, you have the low end plus you add the high end VTEC......its known as an LS/VTEC engine.

Welcome to the site. Since Downshift already answered all your questions, well all except why there are not a lot of GS's, The reason is, is that the GS model was started in the gen3 in 96 or 97 as a grade above the ls. The Gs was also in the gen2's but for some reason skipped a few years when the G3's started. Hmmm Go figure.
