98-01 teg foglights? help a civic driver out!

Okay, I did search first, but I didn't find much info. I'm really having difficulty finding these. I am a bit of a noob to Integras.

Here's the story. I'm a bad, bad sister who didn't get anything for her little sister for Christmas. :( (I just moved across the states a couple months ago and then my car was stolen with no insurance, long story on the no insurance.) Her birthday is coming up in April too, and though I want to get her seomthing else, I always promised her I would help her with her car. Lighting was discussed before as being an issue.

So, just this past summer she finally got herself her first nice car, a Cayenne Red '98 GS coupe with black leather. It's a beautiful car and though the modification bug has not yet bitten her (her big concern is, "does it cost money?"), her lighting does not seem sufficient to me.

She has stock lighting all around. The entire car is factory.

So, since she does a lot of driving in DE, I was thinking of maybe getting her some foglights. The only thing is, I'm not finding any for sale, and I'm not finding much information about them period. I just want to help her with the performance of her car in ways that will interest her and benefit her. It's an automatic and I don't think she is interested in making her car fast anytime soon (nor am I interested in dropping the cash for making it fast when I drive a slow ass Civic. lol).

Can someone please help me? I know my fair share about Civics, but Integras, on the large part, are foreign to me. I need to know more about the options for 1998 foglights. I *think* I found wiring directions that should work (my dad would probably be installing them on her car and he doesn't like cars... he works on freightliners.)

I see new headlights and turn signals for her car, but no foglights. :(

I'm open to suggestion too. Just as long as it makes my sister's car safer on dark roads.

Remember though, this cant be a burden to anyone on the other side of the country who would be installing this for her (probably my dad or her friend, Parker). ;) I'll probably try to get ahold of her friend to see how he is on wiring an Integra. He's really good with domestics and I know he'd help her out if she needs it.

I'm not sure how much I like the idea of the 9005 conversion for her because then if a bulb blew, she might have to shave all that stuff down again. One of the things I want this to be is relatively easy for her to upkeep. If she gets brighter bulbs then I want them to be able to fit in the housing without modification. It would be easier if I were still there to help her, then I could jsut deal with it, but I'm not putting it on someone else or herself. She knows about cars, but I think that might end up just becoming a pain in the ass to her. ;) I will send the link to her friend just in case though.

Oh, and 1990TeGLs, if you were talking about my sister's Integra being clean, thanks. :) I showed her how to detail it myself. That was the first time it was ever cleaned. I washed it and she helped polish and wax and such. :) She did a really good job for a noobie I think.

Hmm... do you think this first one fits flush with the bumper (like the enlarged pic), or does it use a cover like in the smaller pic behind it?

98-01 teg foglights are discontinued by Acura, so it's gonna be really dificult to find them, b/c nobody bought them when they came out, but if you look hard enought some will appear

damn that car is CLLLEANN no signs of any marks on the rims thats when you knbow u got a clean ride....very nice! you could just get random fog lights at autozone or some auto parts place and they come with brackets..thats a pretty cheap way then you can wire them to a switch in the car and just power them off the driving lights.

Have you considered HID's? I know that it might be a little bit more pricey, but in the end it's worth it. I suggest a 4300k HID kit.

That's just my .02 cents because you mentioned you're wanting to improve nighttime visibility.
