97ls no info from plug

oops.. its a 97ls

went to get smog and nothing came up (couldnt connect with the car) to the obd2 plug..

any thoughts? is there a fuse/relay that controls it??

well do you have an obd2-obd1 conversion on the car?

no.. i just mistyped the info

its a full on, striaght from factory, 97ls (obd2) and went to get it smogged and it just couldnt be read by the computer..

im assuming its pluged into the ecu...if thats the case when was the last time that the plug was used?

its not into the ecu.. theres a separate plug underneath the dash near the center console..

no i know that...but on a obd1 ecu there are only 3 plugs on the ecu and on obd2 there are 4 plugs...i though the 4th plug was the plug that connects to plug that is under the center console...which reads the codes off of the ecu...check buy your ecu and see if all the plugs are connected
