Whats the difference between 94-97 headlights and 98-01? Or is there just a difference in the bumper lights?

They are shaped slightly different, to account for the difference in the shape of the bumper. If you put 94-97 lights in a 98+ bumper, they wont fill the holes, and will look sunken in, I believe.

Nope, they are different. They are similar in deisgn, but they arent interchangeable. So if your doing a conversion to a 98+ front end, you need to pick up some headlights for that front.

if you look at a set of 94-97 headlights they are vertical in position while 98-01 headlights slant outwards. the bumpers also changed to compensate for the headlight change. as well as the corner lights.

Since posting in this thread, I read that although you cannot use 94-97 lights in a 98+, you can use 98+ in the previous yeard for the thrid gen. Is that true Jimmy?

technically you can use the either headlights for any year but it will look out of place considering the cosmetic changes are really noticeable.

just keep in mind if you go for the 98+ bumper you will need 98+ headlights, bumper lights and bumper light brackets.
