93 RS Overheating

Hope someone can help.
Just changed the thermostat in my 93 Integra RS and car is now severely overheating (temp gauge in the red). It was previously fluctuating, going hot then cooling, before changing the thermostat. Coolant levels are where they should be, but engine is overheating within minutes.
Any help would be appreciated.:???:

have you completely flushed your radiator system? is the thermostat installed backwards? did you bleed all the air out of the system?

with severe overheating you may have a warped head & failed head gasket... Also the water pump could be shot as well.

are your cooling fans kicking on when the car reaches operating temps?
