I have a 93 Integra LS 1.8 DOHC that we have converted into a ashpalt circle track car. We have experienced problems with the car either hitting the rev limiter or missing once it gets at the end of the straights. We revved up the motor in neutral and had no problems with it hitting the rev limiter. Is this normal? If so, why does it not hit the rev limiter in neutral but will in drive? If it's not normal, what could possibly cause the car to miss at the end of straight-a-ways? We have changed the computer and distributor and it still acts up. The next step we want to take is get a tach and see at what RPM it starts cutting out (fairly confident it's not hitting 6500) Second question would be, if the car hits the rev limiter for a period of time, will it cut the fuel supply? This is the first time I've ever dealt with an Acura, so any kind of insight will be gladly welcomed.
