91 integra problems

Hey guys I'm new to this forum and I have a 91 integra with the 1.8 and auto tyranny and the check engine light is on and its throwing code 12 which is egr system okay and it only come on when the car is warm. Well the real question is right be for the light comes on the car pretty much drives it self and you have to anchor on the brakes then it will stop and idle fine and drive great. I cannot figure out why its doing that any help would be appreciated thanks

check the fluid level in the tranny, check your brakes.. How high are you idling? change your egr

Brakes are good tranny level is good it idles just around 900 all the time until it wants to go on its own and then gose to about 2500-3000 but only while the car is in drive and moving and when it dose it it last about a minute and stops then won't do it again till its cold then get drove again
