90 Integra won't pass California smog

hey new hear i need some help

my car is failing on co and hc

i have taken my car to smog three times and it failed as gross polluter so i have to go to a gold shield smog place. first time it fail cause it some how got a check engine light when i bought it in to smog witch it didn't have tell then weird haha. so i found out it was o2 sensor and it went away

took it in second time did a lot better but this time failed for high carbon HC and CO before it failed for check engine light and running to rich. the HC is at 150 and max is 100 and CO was at 1.01 and max is 1.00 yah

so i the smog guy said it might be the cheap kragen wires, cap, rotor, and plugs

so i got some 8mm wires from napa and had 7mm

new cap,rotor,and plugs from napa also but still failing didn't do much so im thinking the cat converter went bad cause the car had stock muffler and sounds like there is no cat

any help would be great

when i had a knocks (NO) i replaced my cat and it passed... i got mine installed for about 160

How long have you had the car? Legally when someone sells you a car THEY have to smog it.

The seller cannot sell the car without it first passing a smog test before it is sold.

yea legally. not to many people do it though. should probably help him instead of giving facts that dont help now.
