i have a 90 (B18A1) integra ls (DB1) Automatic :guns:
okay so i decided to do a head gasket change following the manual. followed every step as stated. It all went downhill when i put the timing belt back together and forgot to put the back cover. it started fine and purred like never before. anyway, i took it apart and put the back cover on. when i tried to start the car it started but then stalled, jerked and slowly died. I tried cranking the car to start it and it would die. It wasn't until the 5th attempt that everything died. as in a circuit shortage or something, im not sure. i took out the key, put it in and nothing. no lights, no radio and no power. disconnected the negative battery cable and reconnected it again, car had power, it would crank but it would not start at all. I checked the fuses and all are fine, i can definitely hear the fuel pump prime, fuel injectors are spraying and i re did the timing so many times and no luck. Car cranks but it doesnt start, i am going crazy, i have a month without my car and i really needed for school. any help will be appreciated.
( I am willing to post pics, let me know)

these are the following parts i have changed:
Distributor
Spark Plug Wires
Fuel Filter

P.S. My battery is drain so every time i try it is by jump starting it with another car. Once i disconnect the jumper cables i lose all power.

get a known good battery to start. once you know it will crank you know its spraying fuel im sure your compression is good so you need to test spark. properly timed spark is what you need

Make sure all your ground wires are connected properly.

So far i have checked the thermostat ground wire, battery to chassis, and valve cover ground wire
Am i missing any ?

i am going to have to have my battery tested and hopefully recharged.
How do i check for properly timed spark?

thats just basic timing being set. it just seems like if the car ran fine with the back cover off and when you re-do the timing and put the cover back on it starts running badly. i you have all the bases cover fuel compression spark than its timing. make sure everything is perfect with gauges. make sure fuel pressure is where it should be and hold make sure all your compressions are within 10 percent of each other.
