90 Integra, Limp mode? Won't rev past 5000RPM

Hi all.

I have a 1990 Integra that's been converted into a mini stock and it will not rev beyond 5,000RPM. The ECU isn't throwing any codes. We've replaced the ECU, Injectors, Alternator, Throttle Body, and Distributor. Nothing has helped the problem.

We've checked all of our grounds and they seem to be good. I'm currently tracing wires from the ECU and haven't found anything out of the ordinary.

The only "problem" is that the battery light is constantly on, but we've checked the voltage and the battery is charging fine (14v while running).

Any tips or help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot for reading.

I disconnected the RPM sending wire and forced it into actual limp mode (3000RPM). So my problem isn't limp mode, it's something else.

The stock tach reads ~5000-5500RPM before it starts sputtering. Our tool reads it as 6000RPM+. It may be the rev limiter, but it should have more power than that. It's like the ECU is reading the wrong RPM or something.

Looks like I got it fixed. Direct soldered the wires for the fuel pump, the connector seemed bad (after we back-tested it, it ran perfect with the terminal tightened up). The car runs like a champ now.

I hope this helps someone else. It's been a month long battle for us :).
