90 Da Driverside Leak

i bought my 1990 Da Integra LS from a guy a little more than a month ago. The integra for some reason has a switch that turns the radiator on and off; was installed by previous owner. I noticed water on the passanger floor and i know that comes from the cowl, but it also gets wet in the rear passanger floor and the driver side floor. My hypothesis is that the heater core (which i have no heat in the car) is broke and is leaking which is why the switch was installed for the radiator so that it wont send coolant to the heater core. I am thinking this was a quick stupid way to not fix but stop some leaking by the previous owner since replacing the heater core is a pain. Does this seem like the right thing to assume or does anyone have any suggetions?

heater core

Dude, the fluid flow to the heater core is controlled by the dial on the AC control on the dash, you know, the one that has blue for cool and red for heat. Well, when you turn it to the red, what happens is it controls a valve in the engine compartment next to the firewall that opens or closes the coolant fluid flow from the engine. THAT controls the heater core, not some electronic switch.

By the way, that switch for the radiator sounds like he bypassed something he shouldn't of. The main relay (PGM-F1), which also is the fuel pump relay (yeah, the same relay), controls when the radiator fans come on or go off. If he installed some kind of switch for that, it's a sure bet that whole car is gerry rigged.
