87 tranny 5 speed

so ive got a 87 integra 5 spped with the d16a1. with a white valvecover and im assuming the motor has never been swapped. the tranny is bad and im looking for a used one. since this is a dohc D-series idk which tranny i need to get?

You will want to look for a d16 trans, preferably the a1 but maybe one from an a6 or the like will work, that's one you will probably have to research more, but my understanding is a d16a6 transmission, though it may bolt to the engine, will not mount to the chassis... So you pretty much need to find a transmission just like yours or do a rebuild on it.

the best think for u is to probably get on from a yunk yards or get your transmission rebuild
