400 whp b18b with forged internals

I'm getting mixed views from CC. People are saying I can go above 8k rpms on a ls bottom, since I'll have forged internals on stock sleeves. But, this well be for a DD or in other words reliability? I've read that the r/s of 1.53 isn't ideal of going past 8k but, I'm concerned about oiling issues. What do you think?

Stock Sleeves? Don't even try it. Don't go past 8k or near it.
Stay at 7500, 7700 @ max if ur feeling lucky

i wouldnt take an ls that high. the rod to stroke ratio isnt very good for high revs; it becomes unstable. if you do choose to take it that high, a block girdle is a MUST

I dont understand what is so great about revving high, i want some low end power too.

with aftermarket rods the bottom end will be fine up to 8-8500

:thumbs up Just make sure you have the internals and you'll be set to go.

8800 here. I used a vtec head on the application on both N/A and Boost. Another application I used Just make sure everything is assembled well and balanced. I even have an LS crank B20 rods in a GS-R block, and so far no problems after 2 years.. It can be done, just that the LS head doesn't like it.
