3000 GT SL vs. 2000 LS

Wow it was a fun night last night....my buddy has a 3000 gt (the slow edition...SL) and we met up w/ another friend of mine who has a 2000 ls w/ intake header exhaust and a high flow cat. His car looks really nice i told him to join our club here so hopefully he does. Anyways..my buddies 3000 gt is all stock and they went at it last night. Both races were from a stand still. The first race the guy w/ the ls missed second so they went for another run. The second run was clean. Both had perfect lauches and they stayed w/ eachother all through 1st and most of second and then the 3000 gt just started pullin hard in the top portion of 2nd gear and kept goin. Ended up beatin the ls by like 3 car lenghts. It was a sweet race tho we have a video of it i'll see if i can get it online it's good. Yea sad story cuz the LS lost but that's ok integras are forever. He's gettin stage 2 cams soon and they're gonna try it again. Integras are still and always will be forever

Is he getting pistons with those cams?
Was the 3000GT auto or stick?
Was the LS auto or stick?

I used to really love those all the "Japanese muscle cars" of the early/mid 90's, especially the 3000GT's, but they're starting to look a little dated now. Same with the Nissan 300Z, really hot exterior, but really dated interior. The Stealth still looks good, and the Supra has outlasted them all in style, imo. Plus, you know, they're kinda quick which counts for something, I suppose. :p :)

I'm not sure if he is getting pistons w/ the cams. And both cars were stick. Yea i like the 3000 Gt's the one my friend has is a 94.

that 3kgt had the same motor as my old diamante. dohc6g72 if im not mistaken. big torque.

Man That Sucks For The Ls But Ohh Well U Loose Some U Win Some When I Had My 302 Jg Cams I Love'd Racing Bmw's In The Freway. Lol I Was Also Very Fortunate To Race A 3000gt Non Turbo On The Street Fron A Stan Still When I Had The Cams In My Car Did Pretty Well We Were Neck To Neck And I Pulled On Third Gear And Got Him By A Nose But I Hope He Gets Pistons And Some Cam Gears To Go With It And Tell Him To Try And Get It Tune'd Cuz After I Took My Car To Comptech To My Boy And He Dyno And Tune'd The Ls And I Was Pretty Empressed I Spent 200 To Get That Done But I Think It Was The Best 200 Buck's Ive Ever Spent. It Pullet Hard In Third And When I Launch

nice i wanna see that vid...im so torn between goin all motor or turbo now i would love that boost but the pride of all motor is just suttin else i was lookin at cams and pistons and all types of stuff lately
