2nd o2 sensor help

okay i am trying to wire up my 02 sensor simulator but it doesnt say anything about my second o2 sensor in the manual. i dont know which wires are which. it also says that i must keep my o2 sensor installed do i really have to or no. its only function is to see if that cat is working properly right?

really cause i just unplugged mine i didnt even check if the mil light was on still or not. you dont have to leave the sensor in right
