I apologize in advance in advance I've searched only to find 3rd gen info i have a 199- teg rs the rack n pinion is in need of replacing. Power steering was bypassed using loop method. i am looking to Properly convert it to manual steering is there a manual steering conversion kit or interchangable manual rack from anouther vehicle i can purchase? I really don't want to buy a new power steering rack and do the loop method on it because this is very improper and the reasion the rack in the car is in the shape it is. power steering racks was designed to have fluid in them at all times and when you remove the pump and do the loop trick it leads to rack failure and possable dangerous lock up when it gets to the point mine is in. so my question is where to find a manual set up for 2nd gen?
