i was wondering if the 3rd generation tranny is geared differently than the 2nd. meaning at 70 mph with a 3rd generation auto tranny would run at 2.5 rpm???? bcuz my integra runs at like 3.25 at 70. Also if it does would the 3rd gen auto tranny fit into my 2 nd gen? thanks for any info. i'd much ather swap to manual, bu ppl say it just isn't worth it. is that true?

hell no its not true. If you can afford to swap it to 5 speed which you should cuz its not that much, do it. Mine is five speed swapped and i love it. Much better than auto.

With are cars it does not matter if you have an automatic car or a manual car, you will still have a high RPM at high speeds.

Its not like a V6 or V8

In my pontiac ill be going like 70 and be at about 2000 RPM

Why did you buy the auto in the first place?

If you get all the stuff needed for auto-manual swap it will cost around 500-1000 im pretty sure. ROUGHLY.

center console shift boot (90-93 integra)
5spd pedal assembly (90-93 integra, some have cruise control some don't)
clutch cable (90-93 integra)
B series manual transmission (S1,J1,Y1 from the 90-91 or a YS1 from a 92-93)
B series flywheel (to my knowledge any b series flywheel will work)
B series starter motor (make sure its from a manual transmission)
Clutch (if you got a S1,J1, or Y1 then you need a clutch for a 90-91, YS1 is 92-2001
Throw out bearing (most clutch "kits" include a new throw out bearing, pilot and tool)
pilot bearing ( " " )
clutch alignment tool ( " " )
Shift linkage - (90- 93 integra, best to get one complete with shifter)
Intermediate shaft - ( 90-93 integra w/manual trans)
ECU - (in 90-91 the ecu's were year specific, if you have a 92-93 u can use 92-95
Transmission mount (Innovative makes a NICE conversion mount HERE , though it is also possible to modify a stock manual transmission mount with longer bolts and washers.)

Mine was swapped before i bought it. and has a ys1. We just swapped my buddies 94 integra for about 500 with a brand new clutch and everything. ive seen y1s and ys1s for sale where i live for like 200 bucks with a clutch. Its well worth it.

Thank you for that list! I have a 90 so do i make to buy a 90 or 91 tranny and ecu so i dont have to purchase tranny mounts???? will i need a different radiator???
