2 part brake problem

So at first I noticed a metallic rubbing noise over the last few days so I figured out it was coming from my back passenger side tire so I started taking it apart a noticed my brake pads were wearing strange the inside one looks almost new but the outsode one is pretty much gone.

Anyone got any ideas?

2nd part, I've tried using the bleeder valve, and a c clamp the the Damn brake cylinder won't decompress, any suggestions lol thanks in advance ice never had a question go unanswered here, you guys are great.

your rotors could be warped. that could be causing uneven pad wear. Also for the compressing of the caliper, i just use the c clamp and then undo the bleeder valve and squeeze it. it should do the trick unless your caliper is seized

It's not seized, maybe my c clamp is to weak, any other way to do It without tearing it up?

i honestly just take it off and put it back on without compressing the piston. theres a specific tool for it but i forget what its called. but i honestly take the shit off and put it back in.

the caliper probably has a screw in piston go somewhere were they rent tools and rent a caliper tool then you will be able to move the piston back in and wear like that is more then likely coming from warped rotors

Make sure the piston moves freely, and the slider pins are not seized. I usually use a large screwdriver or a flatbar (or my metal file which fits perfectly) to screw the rear piston in.

Thanks guys got it all the way in using vice grips lol. Got everything back together and bam, extra braket on the ground. I believe it goes on the back of the caliper least that's how its shaped, how important is it and what does it do, if need be I can take a picture.

Bracket? The disk brakes are two pieces, a caliper (with the piston) and the bracket (that holds the pads). If thats the bracket you are talking about (there are two slider pins) then yes, you need it.

when you get some new pads make sure to get some brake lube to put on the pins and back of the pads. that will keep the pads from making that stupid squeeking noise and will make sure that your pads wear even. you might want to buy new hardware for the calipers. auto zone has the caliper tool for rent. you just buy it and then bring it back and get all your money. if you need a new caliper there 54.99 new.
