I am new to CI and have a question. I'm not new to integra's, I own a 93 GS and recently bought a 93 LS. I was looking at pictures of both engine bays when I noticed the GS has a second type of resevoir with fluid in it on the passenger side. The LS does not have it tho.I also owned a 91 GS a while ago and it never had it either. I do know that some models have ABS and some don't, but what is that second cylinder? It sits right next to the fuse box and getting a srtut tower brace on is almost impossible with it there???

Pics?

i remember seeing something about 2nd gens not being able to put on a strut bar because of the abs I think... Pictures would be easier to figure out what it is.

Does the GS have abs?

You need to load up the pics to a website like Photobucket, then you can post them. You can't post pics directly from your PC's pictures folder.

Once you've done that:
-Click the little mountains icon, rest the mouse on it and it'll say Insert Image.
-Copy and paste the URL of the picture in the box that appears.

Welcome to the site, btw. You guys are kicking ass over there in Iraq, we all love you for it!

i guarantee you its the abs monster, its kinda square with lines running out of it? . .. yes its the abs regulator. just take it out, and replace with an rs prop valve . . .lol

Hey thanks for the help. It wasn't a huge deal but it really bothered me not knowing, and being where I am there is nothing else to do but look at pictures, and think of what I want to do when I get home in a few months. anyways Is it better to keep the ABS or get rid of it? I read some things about keeping it helps with track driving, and in serious situations like skidding.....

it depends, the abs on our tegs (g2's) are very inadequte to a modern abs system, it has many problems and isnt as consistent as it hould be. ive heard alot of stories about the abs not working properly

Just be a smart driver. Don't push your car too far and you shouldn't need it. Locking tires is what you need NOT to do to stop, so just make sure you keep some traction.

I've never drivin with ABS on any of my cars and I've never crashed or gotten in any situation I couldn't get out of because of brakes

(I did have one accident, but it had nothing to do with the braking, just very dumb driving)

its extra weight that you don't need IMO
