1992 GSR AC Compressor

Looking for a AC compressor for a 1992 GSR.

Current compressor works, but makes a slight sound. Wondering if servicing it will resolve the issue (last AC service was done 10 years ago). Also, is it advisable to take the compressor and get it serviced - that's what Acura sells currently - only remanufactured units.

If I need to buy a new compressor, Anybody know the difference between the DENSO (OEM mfr) compressor sold directly by Denso and the Denso compressor sold by Acura - Acura's price is double. Are there any issues with using the one sold directly by DENSO.

Lastly, is it better to stick with the R12 rather than retrofitting to R134?

Not too sure on the difference between the Denso/Acura offerings but I know that it would be pointless to stick with R12 since it's rarer than a unicorn trotting on a blue moon night nowadays.

the freeze r12 supplemental works great got it my car and cold as hell. even the a/c shop that i go to said its cold then the r134 would b if i switched. u just got to do it urself
