1990 ls 4d speedometer cable

so im a total noob,ive been reading other post about the speedometer acting funny
mine was being all jiggy then today it just plain stoped working
i read that the cable is probably the cause for this
but i dont know were it would be or how to tell
please help

mine use to do that, try to pull tha cable out under the hood an grease it back up an see how that works out for ya.

the cable runs through the firewall in the middle of the car under the hood. It goes into the transmission through the top. There is a horseshoe clip holding it down, take that off and pull the cable out. If it looks fine then i'd suggest taking the bezel out and pull the cluster out to see how it looks.
