1989 Acura Inyegra

I'm thinking about buying an 89 for 1500. The guy says it wont start sometimes and it takes a while to start. Like 5 minutes. He says the main relay might need replacing. I called my dad he said it could be the fuel pump. What do you guys think? The guy said he would knock off 100 cause of the main relay issue.

it would take a bit of troubleshooting. switch ignition on and see if you hear the pump. also listen for the relay to click. the relay can work on and off until it completely quits. 1500 is a bit pricey for a g1 that runs sometimes, unless the body and interior is outstanding. alternatively, air and spark are also required for a motor to run. there may be a dizzy problem, or a cat stuck in the intake.

I would guess main relay. REALLY common problem in the g1's, but it could be a bunch of things
