The Evo3 GT made by GT concepts and sold by Turbochargers.com is a great turbo. The early models were poor, but the model I got over a year ago was after all of that. They are now great products. The EVO3 16G is manufactured in Japan by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries
The EVO3 GT is a knock off with a bigger wastegate flapper. The SSautochrome EVO3 GT is made in China while the BBL EVO3 GT is made in Taiwan
On the GT concepts Evo 3 16G I had there was NO CREEP. Thats at 18psi running straight piped right off the turbo. That was when I only ran a ball-and-spring boost controller as well. Trust me, internal will be fine.i'm not sure if i want a internal wastegate tho
with boost creep and shit
thats the only reason i'm leaning away form it
Thats why I didnt say ported, I used ported to describe how it was different. Its the size of ported but just cast that way.GT Concepts is the name they use for their turbos. They are manufactured by BBL Automotive. The particular one you had is one of there's and the better knockoff. There is more than one company knocking these things off though. Those are the only ones that say EVO3 GT on the housing. Other companies have tried to knock them off and still have td05 on the housing. I wouldn't mess with those. MHI will have td05 and MHI part number
They aren't ported. They are just cast with a wider nozzle
