1.6 EL Lower Console <56K NO>

I recently scored an Acura 1.6 EL lower console from a guy in Canada. Here's the pics, installed. I'm going to change my setup (I've got a stock radio and cassette in right now) as soon as I can get some more information from some guys on ClubEL (it's down right now) :???:

I really like this console a lot. It curves towards the driver, so it makes it feel kind of more cockpit-esque. I love the pocket, and the radio setup is pretty sweet. I might actually try and get ahold of the EL climate control (the guy was selling one, but the harnesses were all hacked to shit). Either that, or I want to get my stock radio re-bulbed with some amber LED's, and get a factory CD slave. :thumbs up

Anyhoo, here's the pics.

oh wow! didnt know that, but that car is different then a 1.6 EL
Same interior. It's basically a three-way between a Domani, an Oritha, and a Ferio.

The 1.6EL is sold in Canada, exported to Japan (and Jamaica) and sold as the Domani, and exported to South America and sold as the Isuzu Gemini. These cars all comes with the D16Y8 from our US Civic EX coupe/sedan. They have leather interiors, heated mirrors, block heaters (for the Canadian cars at least), and I believe the moonroof is standard too. Some models also came with rear disc brakes. The chassis code of the 1.6EL is MB4 (just like you guys here have, for example, a DC4 or a DB8, etc). The 1.6EL is very similar to teh 6th gen Civicsedans. The next generation was called the 1.7EL and shared much in common with the 7th gen Civic sedans. There si even a copy of the 8th gen Civic sedan now called the CSX which comes with a K-series motor in it. :D

The Integra SJ is a different "Civic" sedan model by another name. The interior is kind of a mix between the other "Civic" models and still closely resembles the US Civic interior. No leather here. Inetgra SJs came with the D15B2 in them. The chassis code of the Integra SJ is EK3 (yep, just like some other Civic sedans and hatches sold in Japan, Europe, and other places).

Oh, and just for shits and giggles, this is what the front end of a Civic Aerodeck looks like. It's the same front end as the Civic 5dr (which is a kind of hatchback).
