$1,000 for a Turbo kit?

Im planning on installing a turbo kit on my 98 integra gs. I was looking on ebay for T3T4 tubro kits that go for $1,000. Is it worth getting the turbo for that cheap, will it work? Im planning on keepin my acura for the next year or 2.

fyi- u get what you pay for. you end up paying more in replacement parts when thy go out or break. dont do it and man up to a real kit. NOT Greddy either.

umm yeah NO!

do some research before u even attempt to do this, make sure you are capable of tuning the car and ready for the long haul.. its not as easy and bolt on and go!

Had a greddy kit on my GSR what are you talking about, other than the crappy e manage, everything else is good to go

As to a OP i love eBay but those kits are straight crap

eBay kit screams bad news. The turbos are built terribly. What i would reccomend is the Peakboost turbo kit or the Edelbrock turbo kit

Have fun cracking the mani in 6 months; and boost creep most likely. IF you do it, buy a new manifold and try to trade the turbo off for a used name brand or get it rebuilt. I personally would never buy an eBay kit but I've heard of guys running them reliably for a while WITH a rebuilt turbo/new turbo and a new manifold.

^i've heard nothing but good things about the Edelbrock kit (Modified said it was the best kit on the market for tegs) but a 4k price tag is bullshit.

agreed. i just don't like the turbo and yeah crappy emanage.

anyways ebay kit noooo good. don't waste your money. you should piece together your own kit.
