Why i am so against street racing and fairly vocal about it

So i realize there are plenty of threads on this, but this thread is simply me explaining why I am fairly vocal about it.

Due to street racing, I got to do my best friends eulogy a few years ago, and clean his belongings out of his blood soaked truck, clean them in my bathtub, and give them back to his wife. He was one of the ones racing and it wasn't even that serious, he was just messing around with another one of my friends who had gotten a new truck. They both knew how to drive, he just made a simple mistake. You guys think its harmless and you're just doing what the car is made for. You're fucking wrong. If you can't handle that and don't have access to a track, go buy a prius.

Do i have fun getting on the freeway? Yup, but even then I limit myself to 10 over and only if traffic is sparse to non-existent. Will I occasionally punch it and run it out for a bit? Yup, if the road is vacant and i am by myself. But even then i still have limits. It not a game guys, try to use your heads.

Not really wanting any response on this. It's too close to me and if you knock him or even downplay it, I will verbally beat the fuck out of you. If you disagree, move on...

+1 Rep to SexySSBP for standing tall on this matter. Street racing is stupid s*** that proves nothing and does nothing good. Only bad can come out of it (losing license, fines, injury, and possibly death). f*** all those who street race on the real. Hit up a track or don't smash the gas. In all reality, unless your car has about 5k invested into the motor our cars are slow as fawk anyway.

Don't judge me cuz I race outside the track, I know this was directed largely at me due to a few things within. So I'm going to voice myself. 90% of the people who are active users on here street race, period. Everyone is going to deny it, but oh well, I'll look like the only bad guy on here. I street race all the time, it's something that all my friends know me for, and guess what, they do it too. I love it, it's a blast, I do it every day, I intentionally look for ricers, and race them. Why? Cuz I'm not paying $30 to run the same cars once a week, that's retarded, and the road course here is $150

depending on who hosts it yes. Speed Ventures charges about 300, but that place and Laguna Seca are 300 for a day, not bad when you think that includes instruction as well (except Laguna Seca). Thunder HIll is like 170$ after everything. Buttonwillow is $200 But i say Buttonwillow and Thunderhill are the most fun
