well i cant really answer anything about HIDs.. I dont have those and I dont know much about them, except they have to warm up? Seems dumb. Dont feel like investing into that

My HID are warm in roughly 30 seconds, as soon as I turn em on they are dim but are fine 30 seconds later. I wouldn't run them in high beams solely because I like the ability to quickly flash people.

I heard the high beam hids are illegal. From that same guy, he said what you said.. But I like to be able to switch my lights on and off fast too so thats another reason I'm swayed

HID's are illegal to retrofit in CA. They have to be able to autolevel so they don't blind people. There is some asshole in a Lexus that has the blue HID's in his head and fog lamps; can't see shit when I pass him

I don't get how retrofits can blind people? Or do you mean just pnp hid kits?

My understanding is that if you put in HID's, they are illegal because they will not level out correctly when going over bumps and such. I may be wrong, but I'm quite sure we are not legally allowed to have HID's

Yeah, technically, it's illegal to put any hid in a car that wasn't equipped with hids initially from the factory. With a retrofit, it's basically a factory standard output. Not every factory HID projectors auto adjust. The tsx and s2k hid projectors are amongst the best out there, but they don't auto-adjust lol.
