What are the best headlights?

Silverstar Ultra lights from Sylvania are not all they are cracked up to be, and I work at the local O'Reilly as well. they are great if you don't want HID's but for the price of two 9006 Ultras, you can get an HID kit that plugs in AND usually uses less power, while creating more light. If you want true white/white with a blue tinge, get 5000k or 6000k. I will not use anything less. Lumen ratings do not mean anything to me, considering the more Lumens a bulb (xenon tube in this case) outputs, the more other drivers are blinded.

Bulb Color Reference Picture

If you want decently bright, white light, go for a 6000K 35W HID kit. If you wanna be a dick and blind the crap out of everybody else, get a 4500K 55W kit. Granted, its 90% in the aiming and cutoff, but even the best headlight aiming patterns reflect light off of otherwise unnoticed surfaces. Hence, blinding.

Screw looking cool. When it comes to headlights I'm going for pure function. Hence 4300k HIDS with properly retrofitteh housings.. They produce the most visible light.

yea but the light cut off sucks! IF you really want great light out put get retrofit.

here buddy tsx retrofit light output in oem headlights

s2k is best retrofit you can get but just the projectors/ballast/bulbs cost nearly $500, txs runs around $350.. not including installation, tons of dyi though on how to do it.
I want some bulbs with this color :D i know these are most likely hid's but there should be some bulbs with this color and atleast half of what he put outs

Piaa makes some good bulbs but they are pretty expensive. you could get a hid kit for the price of the bulbs but no bulbs will do the trick of the pics you just quoted, you need diffrent projectors if you want that look.

Wait so newbie question, what's brighter/better, HIDs or PIAA?
I was gonna get 4600k HIDs but if PIAAs are brighter and easier to install (even though the HID plug n plays are pretty easy) I might just get PIAA.
