pretty much if you have heard of a company name (outside of sony Xplods) then chances are they will be decent. If you can find some pheonix gold, they are pretty good for the price also.

I just ordered some Rockford Fosgate speakers for mine. R1652-S for the front ($59.99 on eBay with free shipping) and R1653's for the rear ($49.99 on eBay with free shipping) I had Rockfords in my previous car (which I shall not mention, for fear of massive shunning) and they sounded great. Easy to install too.

Seriously, I went to the junk yard and took speakers out from a Acura Legend. Those are about 6.5" 2 way speakers, and they fit the rear of the car just perfect. They were Pioneer speakers and sound great!! I had to fold over the rims a bit, but for 20 dollars for both?? It was in the car in less than 30 minutes.

If you are going to go hunting in the junkyard, make sure you look in a car that the doors are closed.

Check Crutchfield.com. I buy everything from there, unless my boy that owns a shop comes up with a screamin deal haha.

No, not a Mountaineer, though I was looking at one at one point in time. My previous vehicle is (still have it, selling Thursday) a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix GT 40th Anniversary Edition. Anybody that knows anything about them knows that they are heavy gas guzzlers, and welp, mine was purple. Look it up on :google: Images. They only came in one color and the interior was colored to match.

Commence teh Shuns now :smackself:
