Upgrading just the Muffler worth it?

i was wonderring is it worth it , just to upgrade your muffler ? like get rid off the stock one and keep the stock piping or should i save up for the whole axle back exaust. reason is cause the exaust now looks ugly and is like rusted out:lol:

i would save up for a catback system, but thats just me. by changing the stock muffler for an aftermarket one really just changes the sound, while a catback one will give you a very small hp gain

If u have the dough get a catback, but its not a big deal it doesnt increase HP by much. About a month ago, I had that rusted stock muffler and I took it off, and had my boy weld together a magnaflow str8 pipe NO cat or res. Its pretty loud but sounds really nice. Its deep at low RPM then at about 3,500 it sounds like RAPE. Anyway get muffler to hold you untill you can get a catback or if you have cash just get the system. Also ebay have some decent catbacks, they will sound way better than a rusted muffler and their pretty cheap.

Yeaahh , its not bugging me that much yet im saving up for a cat back though , thanks for the help :D what about HKS and apexi cat backs what u think off them are thy nice?

I love the HKS sound but i hate the cat back system, i dislike the underaxle system as it sucks when you add on optional subframe pieces

They sound nice but not really my style, I like my car really loud soooo I like really loud exhaust systems. It all depends on your preference.

kinda true. my ebay exhaust rattles so much, also the "stainless steel" is already rusting after only 7 months. its louder than any integra in my area and ive set several car alarms off just by revving

ebay exhausts work, thats what im going to say. not perfect but they get the job done

Whats a Ebay exaust that they got on their for a 96 integra SE sedan , i search some but cant find the exact one thatll fit

look for one just for a non vtec 4 door integra (ls, gs, rs) they will usually just say that it fits an 96 integra ls. the ls, gs, rs, and se are all the same car with different options

Theirs like alot off mufflers here for cheap! so i might just get one until later on what size do i need? to fit onto the stock piping the diameter*
