So i have been thinking about doing headlight restoration aside from the detailing. I have been researching pricing but i have noticed that many different places have different pricing. Some say 35-50 others are even 40-80. Im just trying to come up with a price. Which it is difficult to do. How much are you willing to pay for headlight restoration?

Thanks for the help.

well its one of the more noticeable things on a car so id pay 30-40 depending on the headlights and how nice the car was

30-40 max. Remember the kits are like $20, so you have to be close enough to that for people to be lazy and just pay you.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Im thinking about making it 30-45 depending on the condition of headlight? how about that?

Because some are worse than others.

As a pointer to you, look at the lights carefully for cracks (not the big obvious ones, but smaller ones that develop over time), then make sure any customer knows headlight restoration cant fix those. It will avoid you some headache with stupid people...

basically, i like fast!
My shop by me said he would do my 4 for 40 bucks. I thought that was a lil much and went to walmart and got the 3m sanding kit. took me like an hour an and half, 20 bucks, and an electric drill. Might just be the best 20 bucks ive spent.

Engine bay is super easy. Just use tire cleaner on all of the black plastic/rubber pieces under the hood (including wires), works miracles and they stay clean for a while.
Thanks for the reply. I have heard using a tire cleaner after all the grease and grime is gone to come back through with a tire cleaner. It brings the shine back to everything.

If you detail a car the headlights will stand out even more, so when you're finished you can say "I can take care of that for $xx if you want" I'd aim for $40-$50, even if they negotiate you down to $35 you won't feel like you got ripped off.
