havent seen this on here yet..... so for those who are, and who may come, a little help.


Lowering the front ride height
It is possible to lower the ride height of the front suspension of a 1st generation Integra using nothing more than simple hand tools. (For reference purposes, the factory height should be 653 mm +/- 15 mm from the ground to the highest point of the wheel arch.) To adjust the torsion bar in order to adjust the front ride height, the 1989 Acura Integra Service Manual offers these directions:

1. Raise the front wheels off the ground.
2. Adjust the height by turning the height by turning the height adjusting nut.

3. Lower the front wheels to the ground, push the car up and down and back and forth several times, then confirm that the spring height is within specifications.

i'm gonna check around a lil more to see who all offers coil overs (i havent found but GC so far) and see what kinda drop i can get and all. but yes, i love my cars slammed, and this one will be no exception.

Just get coilovers man. That is ghetto and it will handle like shit too. The stock susp. just is'nt supposed to be like that, it's kinda like chopping the springs. I'm on a limited budget too but u gotta draw the line some where man, just save up for the right stuff. :nono:

man i tried the whole torsion bar adjusting thing, but it doesnt lower that much. is there some kind of kit or upgraded strut to replace the front ones

there are a very few companies that put out different torsion bars you can use to get it lower. but the route i'm gonna take soon. possibly tomorrow, is there's a way to pull yours out, file down a key, then twist them so that when you sit the car down, you can have it as low as you want. i'll have to look a little deeper to figure out how to camber it at that point. i'm gonna do a picture walk thru when i do mine, so if you can hang on for a few days, i'll have it all up on here.
