Lowering on tokicos?

should i lower on these tokico model struts/shocks? i plan lowering about 1.8 on h&r's

Their suspension kit ships with those shocks and springs that lower around 1.5" so you should be ok with springs and that drop. If you want to buy from the CI store I can pricematch their price and they are also in-stock. PM me and I can set you up a coupon.

yeah thats the plan, i just want some good struts/ shocks, prob gonna go with the tokicos.

yeah thats what i mean lol. and yeah ill go tokico but now i gotta find springs, i guess that 125 spring set are just for the TSX's, pretty upset. :roll:

camber and alignment

I think some other important factors that need to be considered when lowering, are camber and alignment. I am also new to the teg world (came out from cb7, 4th gen accords), and camber is extremly important. I put some skunks coilovers on my 93 accord w new falken tires, 6 months later, the inside front tires wore completely out! I ignored the camber rule. Also alignment. Anytime u change rim or tire size and lower, You must get an alignment. Maybe you already know this, but this info is also for others trying to lower. I am going to lower my 92 in the near future, but im going to make sure its done right..take care

Camber is important really if you're going to drop the car more than 2 inches. I have Ground Controls with Tokico Illumina's and all I have is a rear camber kit. Didn't need one in the front, however I did replace the OEM upper control arms with some adjustable Skunk2 and the car rides wicked! I have maybe... a finger, half a finger width gap. If you get some regular Tein lowering springs with Tokico OEM replaced shocks or HP's, whatever you want to call it, you'll be good to go.

camber is important, roll a baseball bat on the ground thats essentially what camber does when it is uneven

How do u adjust the camber? or get it right with a lowering kit? Also, my steering gear rack has a lot of play in it and I think I need to replace it before doing the alignment. Any good brands?

skunk2 pro+ camber kits and a digital alignment.

or buddy club or omni are good too.

i have omni with skunk2 pro+ ball joints. You need to tell the people doing your alignment what specs you want if you want them to be non oem spec. but unless you road race oem spec is perfect

I have the Tokico HF series. They're great for the price. Use Skunk2 front camber kit and replace the bushings with Prothane. Blox for the rear, and again, replace with Prothane bushings.
