untuning nitrous install

I have a 95 ls sedan. I was thinking of installing a 15-35 nitrous shot on my motor. The kit says that because it is such a small shot I would not need tuning at WOT to spray extra fuel. I wouldn't run any higher than a 35 shot. Would my motor be able to handle it without blowing up? Any input would be appreciated, thank you.

idk if alot of us use nitrous here, but i dont think you need a tune my friend used a 1lb can in his car on a jdm ecu

Your motor should be able to handle it as long as it's healthy. Do a compression and a leak down test to be sure.

35 shot seems like a waste.... My buddys running a 200shot on stock block in his lightning.

Your setup needs to be ran on a wide open throttle switch to be safe, and I would be pulling timing out of it at a 35 shot with no added fuel, and you are going to want to run premium gas if this is your plan. If it were my car, I'd have it tuned.

I should look into a WET SHOT(extra fuel and nitrous at the same time) if i were you, and I've seen local people run a 75-100 shoot in a stock LS but would not recommend it for your first time

These guys got it right.

But before you do a thing, you need to do a compression test at the minimum to be sure your motor is healthy enough.

A 35 DRY shot is on the limit, your going to want to pull just a bit of timing (retard it). And you will want to run premium fuel. Might I also recommend a set of iridium plugs and a good check of your ignition system.

I would also look into a wet shot if I were you. ZEX is by far the best company to get a kit from. There all in one unit has everything you need in it. But a wet shot is not only safer, but it also delivers a much more potent punch. Take it from me, I used to run a 75 wet shot with the ZEX kit on a otherwise stock (power wise) LS. I retarded the timing, added iridium plugs, a walbro 255lph hp fuel pump, and a slight boost in base fuel pressure to be safe. Never had an issue and the car pulled quite strong, only down side I came across was the cost of N2O. I had a 20lb bottle and was cutting though it every 1.5 weeks. Not cheap....

Its addicting... lol. But I was still in HS, this was back in 2005. So yea, I drove like a maniac.

Nothing like a LS with stock exhaust, stock looking intake (sleeper Icebox design) and a totally hidden nitrous set-up rolling around. I even mounted the bottle inside a duffel bag in the trunk, just looked like a gym bag sitting there. All the lines were covered in wire loom, brain was completely hidden, and even the nozzle sprayed from the underside of the intake. It was an auto to boot. No one ever saw it coming...
