Matt's LS picture/progress thread

Well I had one of these before but I decided to make an official one of what I had, what I have and what I want. So I have pics of the first day I had the car to now. So first is where I was when I recieved the car about a month and a half ago.

So there was the car when I got it. Amazing condition for a 95 LS. Headlights and wheels were brand new when I got it. Problem was that I needed to get rid of the ricer altezza chrome housing taillights. I bought some 98+ all red tails and sold the altezzas locally for 45 bucks.

Bought some red Blox Racing lugs to go on some repainted black steelies. Didn't work out too well as I felt it didn't look to good. Racing lugs if they don't get sold will go on some nice rims.

Then I had to do something about the dash system he put in. So ricer imo. so it was off to remove that.
Sadly the removal of the dash left a glue residue with some plastic that is nearly impossible to get off without some kinf of solution. Any ideas what I could use?

Lastly yesterday I received my PU SI-Vtec lip. Was a quick install with the included hardware and fit pretty damn well except for my left side fender there was a little trouble, but either way it looks amazing. This is where the car stands now.

So theres a few plans for it for the summer and coming senior year. Small things, nothing huge yet. Next going in is a new door handle on the passenger as my bro was pissed and broke it off. While my dad and i put that in, I'm going to install new MB Quart ONYX-116 6.5" coaxial speakers all around, which I'm pumped for. The front stock suck and the back are blown right now. Then hopefully I can pick up some JDM Amber corners. After that comes the money for rims. Not sure what I want to go with. I was thinking some white drags or go with some sport bronze or black Rota Grids, or some Black Slips. After rims comes the money for suspension, probably going with the Tokico Illuminas with some Ground Controls. And that should do it for the most part. Any ideas are welcome.

Update: New intake went in. Installed a piece together Spectre performance kit. Fairly easy to work with and very pleased with the outcome. Def added power as well.

I got the lip off of ebay and I just recently bought a PWJDM shift knob and Amber corners. I also bought new MB Quart Speakers to put in. I actually paid 110 for the tails but sold the old ones for 45 to get a little money back .:thumbs up Next like I said is headers, paint the valve cover and a nice 2" drop. It'll be done soon, only had the car for 2 and a half months now. And btw those headlights better be clean, they're brand new haha.

you could try acetone or goof off to try and get that sticky shit off of there... acetone takes pretty much anything off and dries almost instantly... nice teg and good job with the upgrades for only 2 .5 months!

Haha it wasn't TERRIBLE but if you looked, the tabs were on the outside of the dash making it look dumb. I like a nice clean look, and I'll look into acetone, thanks!
