non VTEC to VTEC, is it possible

i saw like a vtec conversion kit and i was wondering wat the hell it is, i have a b18a1

ohh and i can get a ls/vtec installed with all new internals and a 6 month warranty for 1800, is that a good motor? or should i just do work to my a1??

there is a tec article on it its not hard either so go for it, idk how much a kit cost so i dunno what you should do pay or do it your self i say do it your self cuz im broke and thats what i would do but its ur car

And from there you will need of course a vtec cylinder head, a VTEC ECU, proper jumper harness for whatever ECU you run, and you will have just have to wire up vtec and you are good to go!

If you buy a VTEC head that isnt bare, then no, you dont need cams. I have a link to an LS/VTEC how-to on my home computer. Ill post it when I get home.

Yeah its possible but I've read somewhere that its not reliable?

Its completely reliable. Know tons of people who have done it with the Golden Eagle kit and it is perfectly fine. No like the vtec motors have vtec pistons or anything. Its the same block so its no different then a vtec motor. maybe bump up to a P73 oil and water pump

$1200-1700 should cover the parts and labor. It all depends on what Vtec head you get, what set up you go with, if you build the bottom end(which I recommend), and how much the shop charges in labor(unless you do it yourself).
