Really? Its one thing if its a cheap header, but if its a $400 header would you be so quick to throw it away? Would you toss it if it was your header before soliciting advice other than "Throw it away, buy a new one"?i wouldnt even waste the time on fixing it.. just buy a new 1 and drive a little slower on dips, speed bumps and driveways lol
ok well now im confused lol ok if anyone needs this header ill donate them cuz i dnt have the money to get it fixed at the momentReally? No.
The question is is it worth it to repair the header. I know of a shop that will cut out the damaged section, and weld in new tubes. Some one did it with a Hytech header, which isnt cheap itself, but the work probably cost about $75-100. MUCH less than buying a new header int hat case.
The other thing a shop could do is weld a pipe or piece of rebar onto the dented portion, and heat up the pipe until they can pull the dent out. You would need to look for a local shop to do this and ask them for a quote. I will look for the shop online that cut out the guys runners and welded in new ones.
well i was going to put the stock header back on but i called my boy to ask him if he had anything and he had sum greddy header so we installed that on my carAre you running open header? Or did you put the stock header back on?
