Fat guy in a little coat.
you guys gotta get me in on the track. irwindale is fun, but too many old school hot rods.

willow springs is hella north though, right? like between l.a. and s.f.? i really, really, really want to do something like this, even if its in a white t and jeans. (i go with the brett farve wrangler specials). let me in on the details. i seen you wearin a helmet. do i need one? and a track like this, makes me think i gotta work on suspesion. so its working hard, saving money for parts and to take a couple of days off, and i'm in.

is this the buttonwillow track? cuz thats pretty far away from long beach.

anways, i gotta get in on this. i told you how lacking the hyndai genisis coupe adrenaline tour was...

just let me know what i got to do. can i roll with you guys?

willow springs is for sure a driver race on the corners and a power battle on the straight. its a good place to learn though cause its not too intense on your brakes. you do need a helmet and suspension is key. maybe some summer tires as well like the azinis

Just create an account with Speed Ventures, follow the directions for sign-ups. You're gonna be in WHITE group and you'll want to rent a transponder. You also need a helmet that's AT LEAST Snell M 2005 rated.

Do that, get some brakes pads and some decent UHP tires and you should be good to go. user JDMxDB8 and I are both in the LA area and we track fairly often. User Samurai_Blue is in NorCal but he'll hopefully be hitting up some more track days down here!

WSIR: Streets of Willow is a great course to start on. Big Willow is good too, but is fast. Buttonwillow is the best of SoCal IMO; it's technical but also pretty fast.

:woot: Another CI member getting into the track scene!
