We can elect someone (somewhat given the electoral system) but that person is really controlled by a group who is intern controlled by a party, that is controlled by those with big pockets. There is a small percentage that make enough to really influence those parties, and I really wouldnt be surprised if some of the same companies/people/groups swing to whoever is in power. So its a new face but the same person in office....

your exactly right. The problem is everyone is liberal now because nobody wants to work to earn anything. They all want it now now now, then the countrys left in debt because people are allowed to buy stuff with loans that will never get paid back.
My Dad raised all four of us on a 45k salary, and we've done just fine. I can't complain. Its because my parents save. If we can't afford it, we don't get it.GreenTeggy

Did you know the original reason that American had the right to bare arms is incase the government was to try and take over America and in the wrong mannor. It was for our defense against our own country for protection of our country so it would not destroy itself.

Yea, Obama seems to be taking a cue from someone else on that one, getting to the youth of the country and molding them to think he's great. I can't quite put my finger on who it was...Martin Luther King, no he was a great man...Oh I remember now, Hitler. He's creating his own Hitler Youth here in America.yeah he's definitely prying on young innocent impressionable kids.
I agree, he can never live up to that. The problem is that many people treat him like he is the second coming of Christ. It doesn't matter that he isn't, the ignorant masses will treat him as if he's the Savior. Hell, the majority of the black community already does. There were so many first time african american voters this past election you'd have though that there was a baby boom 18 years before this election.
I have no problem with a black man as my President. I just don't like that so many people voted for him just because he's black. If he stood for things I believe in I'd vote for a black man as quickly as a white man. I think Colin Powell would have made a good President. He certainly has more experience in government and foreign policy(especially foreign policy) than our current President.

That's indoctrination straight up, whether or not the teachers are too ignorarnt to realise it. What the hell does a 6 year old know about "equal work for equal pay". Can you imagine the uproar if there was a tape of teachers making kids sing songs about George Bush?
