My 85 Jetta 4 door Standard
when i first started out it was my parents car tahts when i offered to put on the 4 disc conversion when i was 15 then i went driving with my parents the first day i had gotten my L i was driving along then all of the sudden the entire car shut down, i thought i stalled but i was rolling so we stopped and the car would not start
i brought the car to my shop at school where we found it was just a fuse, i was ready to roll it out the next day i had come into my class and my entire windsheild was smashed. i had no idea who did that and today still dont but i decided eh, more shop time we dynoed it for fun and it came out as 95 hp, which was high for the stock jetta GL, i wanted some custom parts for this car but the parts were all from europe which was pricey to ship luckily for me a MK2 golf 1.8L got hit in the rear by a semi on the side of the highway i took this car for 500$'s suprised that this thing was compltely modded
New exhaust, new headers new cat everything
camshaft camgear eurosport strut stress reliever bar
new spark plugs, plug wires, Short ram intake Gauge cluster just everything but the golf was in rough shape so i transferred almost all of the parts over this took weeks because i only had 1 class in the shop a day
the car on the dyno was at 147.4hp it was sounding great for a jetta of that year.
at this point the insurance was off on it so i put it in the parking lot to tow home saturday was a stat and the towing company only did emergancy tows on sundays so i had to get it towed monday i got a ride from the driver of the tow truck to see that my jetta had been rammed in the side by a jeep, at this point i told the driver to tow it to the junk yard...
