Wash, Clay, and Wax the DB8

Ive got a little habit of snapping photos when I wash my car because im so proud of how she looks. I washed my car in the sun, then drove around the corner to a shaded area to let the metal cool so that the clay lubricant wouldnt evaporate while I was working with it. I got the clay bar kit for christmas, and am just now putting it to use. It sure as hell picked up a lot of particles, and the car had a waxy look before I even waxed it! Im uploading the pictures now, so I will let the suspense build up ! 8)

I did the SRT last yr with a full wash, clay bar and wax...and omg. it looked better than the day I bought it. Its that time again to do it to it again, and ill do the 97. Might even get motivated to do the gf's Z

I edited out my plates, and now uploading 12 pictures. Im going to take a shot of my license plate light and upload that when im done with the others. Its SUPER BRIGHT!

And heres my custom LED license plate light mod. Its so bright, I could read a book under it.

Wow that's ridiculous... The color of your car is just the reflection of whatever is around... Lol

Yea I should have taken it somewhere without a lot of trees overhanging. It definitely shows a lot of reflections because of the glossyness. These pictures dont do it justice, but my point n shoot doesnt get much better than this. I tried to manually change the settings for lighting levels, but I think its about the same as if it was on auto.

mmm shiny! and i did the same thing with my license plate bulbs.. theyre ridiculously bright now! haha. teg looks good!! :)

Thanks. I didnt just change the bulbs. I took out the old bracket and fashioned a new one to use some festoon bulbs, Put the bulb holders in a plastic tube and siliconed the ends after wiring it to make it water proof.




I may put a dimmer on them to tone it down some, because it looks like some underglow from the bad, but theyre like 30 bucks. I guess ill hold off on that lol.
