They do the same thing......alter your fuel and ignition maps to extract the power. Anything above and beyond that is just nice to have, but NOT necessary. Hell, I started out with Uberdata years ago and that's some of blandest and least feature rich tuning software around.....but IT WORKS. They all do the same thing. The key is finding a good tuner. The software doesn't matter. If you know how to tune, you can tune with anything. I don't trust anyone else when it comes to critical things like that so I do my own tuning. I try to advise others to do the same since there is a HUGE lack of knowledgable people in this area, but everyone wants to go with Hondata so that they can pay Hondata and then be forced to take it to a Hondata tuner and then have to pay Hondata any time they want a new upgrade package. Spend $25 modding the damn ECU yourself and then learn how to tune with any of the free tuning software available. Save the $500-5,000 you'd be putting towards Hondata and future Hondata tunes and put it someplace else. It's not necessary to spend that money, but some people just love to give their money away. What's the sayin....a fool and his money will soon be parted.
