Whistle in air intake??? help!

HEY! I am a newbie but very glad to be here and glad I joined! I'm new to forums altogether to bare with me.... Ok, so I am also a newbie to building up my teg but I have had it for almost a year now. I recently got SUPER lucky and just got it out of the shop from a broken timing belt...but after about 500 bux, I have a new timing belt, new water pump and yesterday put new spark plugs and wires on it. Right before it broke down, I put a short ram air intake and a new muffler on it. (beginner, I know) ANYWAY, after I put the air intake on it, I noticed a whistling noise that sounds when I accelerate. It only happens at a certain point when accelerating but I can control it if I hold the pedal in a certain position. I checked all the hoses and everything is secure but I'm thinking it could be something with the vacuum? IDK, i have no idea. I'm a girl and need a BF that knows this stuff. HAHA! Any advice would help! Thanks!

your intake isnt hooked up right lol, check to make sure your clamps on coupler for the intake are on tight, almost 100% sure this is the problem

Mine only does it when its hella cold out and it only does it when the car isn't warmed up. but yeah I would check the clamps.

yeah its been cold in NC but it does it a little too much so i figured it with something with the hook up. thank you! :)

yeah it does kind of sound like a turbo at first but the whistle is not quick, its continuous and i hate it. haha

mine sings to me, lol its a custom made 3" intake lol with no 3' to 2.5' adapter for the throttle body, it almost sounds like a high pitched sigh

I had the whistle in my old LS and I loved it. :lol:
