HID Retrofit Question

I am considering doing an retrofit with tsx projectors. If i retrofit would it be illegal or legal since its DOT approved projectors?

well if it's done right then someone inspecting the car shouldn't know any better so what would it matter if it's legal or not? and the TSX projectors are factory as well. so i don't see why you couldn't do it. i have FX35's in my car

The person inspecting the car would most likely know that the car did not come with factory HID. If i do it right i should have no trouble with the cops either right? Or could they still ticket me for having the HID?

8urcivc did them with a lense and it looks damn good. I belive they were subbie lenses, but i dont know what car

couldnt you just buy aftermarket Integra projector headlights instead of doing a retrofit? they run like wat? 80 bucks?

umm, integras (DC) come with halogen projectors.. and im pretty dam sure any aftermarket DC headlight is going to have halogen projectors, most of them with a shitty "halo" ring too.

i can pretty much guarantee you that if you do an HID retrofit you will have no problems with the law. heck, i ran HID in halogen headlights and never got pulled over for my headlights, so a retro will just be that much better.

It'll be legal as long as your headlight beams aren't blue or yellow. Has to be pure white or close to it.
