Im looking to get a turbo kit for my 97 integra. I need to know if a metal head gasket and arp head bolts will be enough.

Also any advice on turbo kits(im planing on running only 8lbs)

thanks for any advice.

yeah thats fine especially for only 8lbs....and also i have a brand new garret turbo with big front mount intercooler, oil lines, and an fmu for sale if your planning on putting together a custom kit, all youd need is a manifold and the pipes to complete the kit

you dont even need that. and dont set the psi you want to run. psi means nothing; whp does. read thru the forced induction threads, you are about the 10th person this month to ask that question.

obviously you dont know much about what your trying to argue because every 6 thousand dollar procharger kit comes with and fmu as well did the 2500 dollar garret turbo kit that i was lettin him know i had for sale...i know that an fmu is a terrible non efficient way to tune a car...which is why i wasnt recommending it, pay attention to what was being said before you run your mouth next time i was simply explaining to vdek18 what the kits contents were...i in no way shape or form was trying to have a conversation with you. so like i said once again it wasnt a recommendation...just because you built your turbo integra in your garage and read all the magazines doesnt mean your as knowledgeable as you think im on a whole diff level than you!!

ok if you think so. i do know what im talking about... fmu's suck donkey dick and you should never try to tell someone to get one. whether it be you trying to make a quick buck or whatever. its a shit way to do anything. you can run a missing link and fmu, oh shit wait we are in 2008 and not 2001. this board is full of knowledgeable ppl who dont try to steer noobs in the wrong direction to sell some parts they have. take that bullshit to ebay. and if you want to get technical, how can you possibly tell someone they will be fine running 8psi if you dont have a clue what turbo they are running? psi means nothing, and obviously since you know more than me, you know how to spell GARRETT. you mis spelled it twice, or actually probably just didnt know better. oh and GARRETT doesnt make turbo kits, their turbo's come in kits by other companies, but the actually company themselves dont sell kits.

and you wanted 2500 for a turbo, some oil lines, an fmu and an intercooler? um really?

incase you somehow missed the part where i clearly explained that fmu's were a junk way to tune here it is again for you..."fmu's are a shitty way to tune and not at all efficient" but back on topic your the one that assumed he was a noob not me...and i can sit here all day and argue about this stupid shit with you but thats not why i get on here to waste my time arguing with little kids who think they know it all..you obviously have nothing better to do with your time and thought you'd throw a comment in about how shitty fmu's are for tuning when nobody was even on the topic of tuning...but ill let you have it cause im not gonna argue with you....there you have it everybody dont use an fmu to tune...WORDS OF WISDOM FROM patrick4588!!!!

FMU's suck. Get over it buddy. You tried to pawn a sub par means of fuel correction off on someone else then come back to say that you know it sucks. Nice

This is recommending a sub par means of fuel correction right here
obviously you dont know much about what your trying to argue because every 6 thousand dollar procharger kit comes with and fmu
The fact that some idiots are willing to pay $6k for a kit that comes with an FMU doesn't mean it is a quality means of fuel correction and tuning
"fmu's are a shitty way to tune and not at all efficient"
The fact that you have one and you are trying to sell it speaks to how good they are. You don't even want it, and you probably figured out that they suck by trial and error. Either that, or you have an FMU for what reason again?

You're so against them but yet trying to sell them knowing they suck. Even telling people that they suck but still trying to sell it.

I personally wouldn't put someone else's knowledge in question if I didn't even know if a "GSR" exhaust would give you more HP on your LS than an "LS" exhaust.

So where do you work and what do you tune? Just curious

:roll:i wonder when i will get to the level he is at and ill need to know if a stock crush bent exhaust will help my hp. this is also one of my favorites from "the level above me"

im not sure how you set the timing without the car running and using a timing light.
.

honestly man there is no need to jump on here like a know it all, you will run into ppl that actually can call you out on your bullshit. how can you possibly say you work at a shop and have been tuning cars for years when you dont know what exhaust fits what. are you like the wrench go getter or something?
