i differ, jdm p72 (GSR) hit vtec around 4500rpm. for all motor appl. this is a little low....All Motor setups are high compression...thus Vtec should be moved a tad higher....(round 4800 to 5500rpm)...or around the same time the secondary flys open to realy feel the pull..........plus cruising in 5gear your limited to 80mph or else ud be in vtec, thus dumping/wasting fuel.....
the buddy club vtec controller can raise the vtec point to not have that problem on highway driving.
now for boost.....turbos spool up pretty early, so to lower your vtec around 35, 4500rpm would only accomidate the spooling action.
i ordered the B.club controller from JHP for like 35bucks on sale like a week ago,......since i drive on the parkway to work i like the idea of cruising at like 80mph....(sometimes the flow of traffic) without popping vtec.
so the Buddy club V-con vtec controller is not useless......i wouldnt pay over 50bucks for the thing but for the time being...$35doller holler,,,,,why not.?
